History

RUBANOX is the world leader in the manufacturing of high efficiency ROLL-BOND heat exchangers. The company was founded in Chambéry in 1913. As it often happens with small companies, the beginning was a mixture of great enthusiasm, hard work and very little profits. However, the experience acquired was priceless. RUBANOX also lends it expertise to the design and installation of turn-key solutions for the production of ROLL-BOND aluminium panels, made using the innovative EXPANDAL technology.

RUBANOX offers its customers a CUSTOM DESIGN service, producing high efficiency ROLL-BOND heat exchangers based on customer specifications (companies, universities, research centres, etc.). For the refrigeration sector, RUBANOX produces ROLL-BOND aluminium panels ( squared or punched ), evaporators for household refrigerators and extruded aluminium or copper tubes.


For the renewable energy sector, the company manufactures photovoltaic panels, solar thermal, thermodynamic and for energy retrofit, as well as innovative radiant panels for the air conditioning industry. The latest addition to the company’s range of products are its hybrid photovoltaic panels designed to convert the heat energy produced by photovoltaic modules into hot water and to increase the efficiency of the solar cells, reducing heat on the photovoltaic panel. For the automotive sector, RUBANOX designs and produces innovative, high efficiency ROLL-BOND heat exchangers, while for the naval industry the company manufactures large plates and extruded aluminium products.
