EXPANDAL TECHNOLOGY

PRODUCTION CYCLE

Two aluminium strips are unrolled, flattened and brushed simultaneously; a circuit of channels is imprinted on the bottom strip using screen printing technology. The strips are heated to a temperature of approximately 400 °C in two continuous furnaces and subsequently coupled and hot rolled at a pressure of 600 tons.

When they exit the rolling mill, the two strips are perfectly joined together and after an annealing phase carried out at a temperature of 450 °C, the strip is cooled, dried and cut into equal length plates. A fully automatic press inflates the ROLL-BOND panels on a production line, which are then squared off on fully automatic cutting lines.
